Jabez Capital Solutions is a commercial financing brokerage created to partner with clients and provide the capital they need to scale their businesses. We work a network of more than 150 lenders on your behalf, structure your request so it makes sense to the people who approve it, and stay with you through closing. When a bank says no, we go find the lender who says yes.
Our founders come from the banking world, and that background shapes everything we do. We understand how credit decisions are really made, what a strong file looks like, and where deals fall apart. We also understand the frustration of being told no without a reason. So we lead with honesty and proactive communication: we tell you what is realistic for your deal, keep you updated at every step, and treat your goals as our own.
We take a whole-picture approach to every client. We look at where your business is now and where you want it to go, then build a capital strategy that serves both. OUR FOUNDERS
Dr.Tonika Brockman
Dr. Tonika Brockman brings over two decades of banking and financial services expertise to Jabez Capital Solutions, where she serves as Co-Founder and Principal. Her career spans the full spectrum of the industry—retail banking, commercial and small business lending, credit, and mortgage lending—giving her a rare, 360-degree understanding of how capital moves and how businesses access it.
Throughout her career at institutions including Discover Financial Services, Fiserv, U.S. Bank, and Liberty Bank & Trust, Dr. Tonika has consistently done more than close deals—she has built relationships. As Regional Vice President and Director of Retail & Commercial Business Development, she helped clients create capital strategies for the sustainability and growth of their businesses. Across every role, she has approached her clients’ needs holistically, crafting strategies that serve both immediate objectives and long-term vision.
As an entrepreneur herself, Dr. Tonika understands firsthand the challenges business owners face in accessing capital. This lived experience shapes her approach: she doesn’t work for her clients, she partners with them—stepping in as a trusted member of their team, invested in their success as if it were her own. She believes that the right financing, structured the right way, is a catalyst for growth, stability, and lasting impact.
Dr. Tonika holds a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, an MBA from Grand Canyon University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a minor in Finance from Guilford College. She also serves as an adjunct professor, teaching business, marketing and leadership courses to the next generation of leaders. Grounded in faith and a deep commitment to relationships, she is dedicated to helping entrepreneurs, developers, and business owners secure the capital they need to build enterprises that endure.
Above all, Dr. Tonika is a devoted wife and mother who treasures time with her family and the memories they create together.

ReShondaYoung
Reshonda Young is Jabez Capital Solutions Co-Founder and Principal Partner. She is also a seasoned business owner, real estate investor, developer and the founder of Bank of Jabez (in organization), a people-centered, digitally robust bank built to bring private-banking-level access, strategy, and support to everyday individuals, families, and business owners. Through that work she is committed to helping the underbanked and unbanked reach equitable capital and financial services, closing the wealth gap through access, education, and empowerment.
As an entrepreneur, investor, and developer herself, ReShonda knows firsthand what owners and developers need when they are looking for a true partner to access capital. She values relationships and believes in standing alongside her clients as they grow, not simply financing a deal and moving on. Her own journey includes founding Popcorn Heaven, a gourmet popcorn chain she opened in Waterloo in 2014 and licensed across six states before selling it in 2019. She has been a landlord for more than 25 years, owns and operates a health store, and continues to work as a real estate developer.
A native of Waterloo, Iowa, ReShonda holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. She has long been an active voice on working-family issues, is a founding member of the Iowa Main Street Alliance, and was honored in 2015 as a White House Working Families Champion of Change. She has testified before Congress three times on healthcare reform, pay equity for women, and transparency in banking, and in 2020 she was part of a group of women and minority small business owners who won a lawsuit against the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau over its failure to enforce laws protecting women and minority business owners from discrimination. ReShonda is deeply engaged in her community and serves on several nonprofit boards.
